Hastings County Council and Warden Bob Mullin are pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Connor Dorey as the County’s next Chief Administrative Officer effective July 1, 2023. Mr. Dorey is the current Director of Community and Human Services with the County.

“On behalf of the members of County Council I want to congratulate and welcome Connor to his new role of Chief Administrative Officer.  Council is very pleased to make this announcement and is looking forward to a long and productive relationship with Connor,” said Warden Bob Mullin.

Mr. Dorey joined the County as Director of Community and Human Services in late fall of 2022 and most recently held various roles with the County of Lennox & Addington.

“Since joining the County I have been very impressed by the commitment and dedication of County Council, Warden Mullin and staff, to our mission of supporting people and communities across the County.  I am looking forward to working with County Council and the entire staff team in my new role as we support the County’s vision and continue our important work,” said Mr. Dorey.

The County undertook an extensive recruitment process which began earlier this year and resulted in over 120 applicants after current CAO Jim Pine announced his intention to retire at the end of June 2023.
