Responsibilities-Duties:
- Ensure consistency of product through quality control testing and adherence to procedures for raw material receipt and product release.
- Monitor sanitation of all production environments through sampling procedures outlined in the environmental monitoring program.
- Assist with creation of new SOPs and updating existing SOPs, batch production records and quality forms as required.
- Work towards meeting department goals around continuous improvement and ensuring compliance to Health Canada guidelines for NHPs (natural health products).
- Assist with maintenance of the stability program, sending samples at required timepoints and completing required documentation.
- Follow defined good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure the highest-level quality.
- Ability to follow SOPs, communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Required to lift and manipulate up to 10 kilograms and move within the plant including gallon tinctures, finished herbal products, light equipment and supplies.
- Other duties as required.

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in science, chemistry or herbal medicine.
- 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, ideally related to pharmaceutical and/or botanicals, is an asset.

- Must be highly motivated, detail oriented and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent research acumen, data organization and proficient MS Office skills (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Must have good documentation practices
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop an understanding of Health Canada regulations as it relates to NHPs
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Demonstrated high ethics and integrity
