Shift Details








  • ​Assist customers who are seeking paint and paint-related products by answering inquiries, assessing needs and providing expert advice on products and application
  • Stock, organize and merchandise all paints and stains ranging in size from one to five gallons as well as all paint-related accessories and products
  • Become proficient in all technology required to perform best results in mixing and creating colours for paint/stain products
  • Perform paint management duties when necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance in paint branch
  • Greet customers warmly and ensure a good customer experience
  • Perform administrative duties and process cash/debit/credit card transactions using a Point-of-Sale system
  • Clean and maintain professional appearance of display areas
  • Candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate will have prior retail experience. Retail experience in the hardware and building materials retail industry is considered an asset
  • Colour design and product knowledge is preferred but not required. Interest is most welcome
  • Ability to perform in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment that requires a significant amount of lifting, carrying, standing, bending, twisting, gripping, etc. during each shift
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills to verify orders, invoices, shipping, and packing documents
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 am – 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management, employees, and delivery personnel and work co-operatively in a team atmosphere
  • Uniform/Dress Code in effect
