SFHF is currently seeking to hire a diligent, detail oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full-time position with paid time off and benefits as per our company policies.

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk has the following duties:

  • Collaborate with the Controller to maintain payment goals and general A/P performance levels
  • Communicate with internal/external stakeholders
  • Process payments via cheque, EFT and other forms of payment while ensuring proper three-way matching
  • Process transactions into our ERP system
  • Maintain up to date and accurate files pertaining to purchase orders, invoices and statements
  • Ensure document retention policies and procedures are followed
  • Reconcile A/P sub-ledger to the general ledger
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports
  • Complete continuous improvement projects relating to accounts payable
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
  • General office and administrative duties
  • Provide backup to accounts receivable
  • Other accounting duties
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the full cycle of accounts payable process.
  • ERP experience is an asset.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 1-2 years of accounts payable experience is preferred
