  • GROWING INDEPENDENT FUTURES 4 TOMORROW (G.I.F.T.) – Enrichment Centre for Mental Health – REGISTRATION NOW OPEN/CONTINUOUS INTAKE. Open to all Jobseekers and Workers. A four-week program that does hard and soft skills for employment as well as daily resiliency labs, and embedded is a dedicated mental health counsellor; a part time addiction counsellor on site and a Registered Psychotherapist part time at the agency to work with those dealing with trauma and CPTSD. We are also supporting apprenticeship possibilities for sustainable careers which is part of the third week of programming – as well, if a client has walked away from the trades or completing their certificates because of mental health wellness, a pathway back can be found if they want it. “The intent is to provide the framework for managing mental health wellness in employment long term, and we are shaping this as a recovery model of care to that end. We are also doing “Share Our Space” and working with participants that can come from not only referral agencies, but from our transitional program, Grace Inn, Three Oaks, and Bridge Street to share an apartment or some sort of accommodation after employment is obtained.  We call it roommate matching and again it is to address the inequalities of housing we are seeing daily. *** Limited space available.
