This training will prepare you to work in any environment where alcohol is sold, served, delivered or sampled, in the province of Ontario.   • Supported Employment Program (Agilec) – The Supported Employment Program is designed for individuals, our clients, who face complex barriers to employment. These barriers could include: Limited or interrupted labour market experience, Low levels of education, Mental health, Physical disability or illness, Brain injury, and/or Challenging life circumstances (coming off ODSP or OW). The program offers a range of services and opportunities for our clients, to prepare for and secure long-term employment. Services and opportunities include: Resume and cover letter workshops, Financial support for training, schooling, transportation, essentials for employment, etc., Employment workshops, Shoulder to shoulder support from the Employment Coach Through Agilec’s Supported Employment Program, our clients will have the opportunity to learn new things,

  • Cannabis Career Launch Training (Loyalist College) – (6 weeks training – 4 in class + 2 weeks work placement) next sessions: Our October class is now full. Please fill in the screening form to be considered for entry to the next class when it is scheduled.. This program is designed to be short and intensive, to provide job seekers with free, cutting-edge industry training to equip them with hands-on cannabis production skills. Client must be unemployed, or working 20 hrs. per week or less (18+ yrs. of age), strong desire to gain full-time employment and start a career in the Cannabis Industry. A resident of Ontario and legally entitled to work in Canada (ie. Citizen, permanent resident, or protected person).   • Food Service Worker Training (Loyalist College Community Employment Services) – (13 weeks training Online – 2 Semesters, 3 courses each semester) First Semester (3 Courses) starts Nov. 1st to Dec. 20th, 2021, Second Semester (3 Courses starts January 11th to February 28th, 2022). This program is designed to upgrade and enhance the knowledge and skills of those employed as Food Service Workers and Dietary Aides, as well as those who wish to seek employment in dietary areas in the healthcare sector. This program has been developed to meet the standards set by the Ministry of Health – Long-Term Care. Will receive a Food Service Worker certificate from Loyalist College upon successful completion of the training.   • DZ & Equipment Operator Safety (Loyalist College Community Employment Services) – (10 weeks training) Start Dates: November 25th, 2021 to February 1st, 2022 and January 27th, 2022 to March 29th, 2022 Classroom 9 to 4pm, truck/equipment between 8 to 6pm. Will train you hands-on! Get licensed for DZ, and learn to operate safely a Backhoe and Excavator, while maximize your employment opportunities. Included with your DZ training we will also train you hands-on with a dump truck. You will learn how to properly operate the PTO (Power Take Off), loading and unloading. Learn different techniques of tail gate uses. Learn how hydraulic systems and hoists

work. Dump Truck training will give you many of the skills most sought after by a wider range of employers. In addition to DZ, learn to safety operator a backhoe and excavator. Program Layout (10 Weeks): Soft-skill training week 1 & 10, Learn DZ week 2 in class (40 hrs), Weeks 3-4 in truck (30 hrs), Backhoe & Excavator Week 5 in class, Weeks 6-9 in equipment.   • Smart Start Youth Employment Program (Girls Inc.) – (23 week paid program) next session: To be Determined

– Can apply at any time. Youth employment program for participants between the ages of 15 & 30 yrs old, who are living in the Belleville, Kingston and surrounding areas and are not currently working or in school. This program provides employment readiness workshops and work experience to assist young women overcome barriers to employment. Eligible applicants selected for participation will receive a fair living allowance, and daycare subsidy while they work towards life-changing employment goals.   • HYPE (Meta) – (20 week paid program – 8 weeks of paid pre-employment training + 12 weeks of quality employment placement) next session begins: Monday November 8th, 2021 – applications will be accepted until Friday November 5th, 2021. Paid employment training for Helping Youth Prepare for Employment. During this 20 week paid program, participants will be able to choose from one of three streams: Information & Technology, Skilled Manufacturing & Apprenticeship, or Office Administration.
