Springtime in Hastings County is when our lush forests and vegetation wake from winter with roaring waterfalls and the arrival of lilacs. We welcome hikers, paddlers, cyclists and anyone looking to return to nature after the cold of winter.
This time of year can be a bit muddy, but it is best when embraced by ATV or by foot along our vast network of trails. It is also the sweetest time of year as our sugar bushes are busy making delicious maple syrup, and menus are getting creative with Canada's quintessential sweet treat.

It's maple season! This is the time of year when the trees get tapped, and the sap starts to flow, to be then boiled down, into the quintessential Canadian sweetener that is maple syrup. There are plenty of seasonal menu items and fresh syrup to be had.
