The North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery is a non-profit conservation organization in Bancroft, ON primarily dedicated to the restoration and rehabilitation of natural fisheries and their environs.

We are seeking a Aquaculture & Administration Technician to assist with fish rearing and monitoring, along with administrative tasks to support the operations of the hatchery.

We are seeking a candidate that:

  • Is interested in learning about fisheries biology and fish culture
  • Has good research and report writing skills
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel)
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Has strong organizational & time management skills
  • Is between the ages of 16-30
  • Can work weekends

This is a 16-week contract position funded through Canada Summer Jobs
