As COVID-19 cases continue to rise locally and provincially, Hastings County is taking action to safeguard the health and well-being of its staff, clients, and the public, while continuing to ensure access to essential and critical services. Out of an abundance of caution, Hastings County’s Administration Building and sub-offices will be closed to the public as of December 24th at noon.
The Public is encouraged to contact the County via phone (613-966-1311 or 1-866-267-0575) or visit the website at www.hastingscounty.com and avoid attending in person where possible. The hours of operation for these buildings will remain the same, operating from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Community and Human Services offices will be managing all inquiries and requests via telephone but will remain open for those individuals who visit the office due to an emergency situation. Clients are encouraged to call their Caseworker or Property Supervisor directly or contact the office through the Intake Access Centre (613-771-9630 or 1-8664140300). Where possible, essential services that are non-emergency case clients are encouraged to complete as much of the process over the phone and email as possible. All non-essential in-person appointments have been canceled.
Visitation to the County’s two Long-Term Care Homes, Hastings Manor (Belleville) and Hastings Centennial Manor (Bancroft) is restricted to essential caregivers and general guests who are fully immunized. All staff and visitors continue to be screened and rapid antigen tested upon entering the home.
Provincial Offences Court Administration Office is now closed to the public. A minimum number of staff will be on-site during regular business hours to take calls and process payments and applications made online, by mail, email, etc. The court proceedings have concluded until January 5, 2022, and proceedings will continue remotely without interruption in the New Year.
