Media Release

The County of Hastings is recruiting a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) due to the pending retirement of its long-serving CAO, Jim Pine. Jim announced his intention to retire to Hastings County Council on January 26, 2023, and is expected to retire at the end of June 2023. Hastings County has hired Tony Haddad of Haddad & Associates Consultants to lead the recruitment effort for the CAO position.

“I would like to thank Jim for all of his work and dedication to the people of Hastings County over the years,” said Warden Bob Mullin. “Jim has been instrumental in the development of many innovative initiatives throughout the County of Hastings and the Province of Ontario and will certainly be difficult to replace,” continued Mullin, “I know Tony Haddad and our CAO Search Committee will be diligent in the recruitment efforts and will bring on another strong leader for the County.”

Reporting directly to the Warden and members of County Council, the CAO provides vision, strategic and inclusive leadership to the entire organization during times of growth and change. Applications for the CAO positions will be accepted until March 19th. For more information, please visit: https://hastingscounty.com/government/careers/
