New Harvest Hastings website

It's official!  Harvest Hastings has a new website  It was launched at their Local Food Dinner and Annual General Meeting (AGM) the evening of Tuesday, November 29.  Harvest Hastings promotes sustainable agriculture and Harvest Hastings Menuforestry, our creative rural communities, and local food, wood and other products produced from the land in Hastings County.  They do this through celebration, education, marketing, networking initiatives and programs that help build understanding and support from consumers.

Funding for the new website was generously provided by Hastings County, the City of Belleville, the City of Quinte West and the Ontario Trillium Foundation through the Local Wood Initiative.  Throughout the Summer of 2016, Coordinator Louise Livingstone worked with the web designer to fit nearly 200 producer profiles and over 1,500 products into the new format and to ensure products are correctly classified.

While the showcase and release of the new website was a highlight at the dinner and AGM, the meal was a major attraction.  Checkout the menu accompanying this post.  Chef Andreas Applebaum of Gourmet Kitchens Catering sourced the ingredients locally.  You can search if you would like to find the same products yourself.
