Community Financial Support related to the COVID-19 Pandemic

To all our community partners, organizations, non-profit agencies and to those who support the most vulnerable in our community, we would like to hear from you as to how Hastings County may financially assist your agency to better strengthen or enhance your responsiveness to the crisis and/or support your agency’s ability to continue the valued services that you already provide to our community in these trying times.

On March 23, 2020, the Provincial government announced a financial investment in social services relief funding to help protect the health and safety of the province’s most vulnerable people in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.

If you are providing a new or enhanced support or service(s) for vulnerable persons in Hastings County including the cities of Belleville and Quinte West with respect to homelessness, shelter, food security, seniors, youth, etc., as a result of COVID-19, we would ask that you submit your request by Tuesday, April 14, 2020, by providing us with the following information:

  • Full name of the Agency or Organization
  • Primary Contact (Name, Telephone, E-mail);
  • Brief description of the community service or support you provide;
  • Value of financial aid request and a brief description of how funds would be utilized to support the needs of vulnerable persons during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please send your request to the attention of Suzanne Ritchie Raymond, Director, Community and Human Services at ritchieraymonds@hastingscounty.com. For any questions, call 613-966-1311, ext. 2333.

Please note that submission of a request does not guarantee funding assistance in part or in full.
