Agriculture in Hastings County has a deep-rooted, two hundred year-old history. Many local farmers have received national and international awards for innovation. Visitors and locals enjoy our locally produced cheeses butter from the Stirling Creamery. There are a variety of farm experiences available throughout the County. The best way to find farm produce and experiences is by visiting harvesthastings.ca.
We also have more than a dozen agricultural fairs (some of the oldest fairs in Ontario) each summer and fall attracting more than 21,000 tourists. Our annual Hastings County Farm Show and Plowing Match is the largest outdoor farm show in Eastern Ontario attracting close to 20,000 visitors annually.
