Hastings County is home to an extensive and reliable network of municipal and provincial highways. This includes Canada’s largest toll-free expressway #401, the Trans Canada Highway #7, and four other major provincial highways (28, 62, 37 and 127).


Both CN and CP railways have major rail service here running freight trains bound for Toronto and Montreal. Local stations receive freight and express service. VIA Rail offers daily passenger service from their Trenton Junction and the Belleville Train Station to Toronto, Montréal and Ottawa, and other major cities.


Toronto’s Pearson International Airport is a leading international gateway and just 2 hours west of Hastings County. It is Canada’s largest and busiest international airport providing regular domestic and international commercial, charter and cargo flights to and from U.S. and overseas destinations.  Ottawa's airport is also only a 2-hour drive. 

Nearby in Kingston is the Norman Rogers Airport,  just a one-hour drive east. This municipal airport provides commercial flights to and from Toronto as well as private, charter and cargo aircraft flight services.  Within Hastings County is Bancroft’s Jack Brown Airport, owned and operated by the Bancroft Flying Club and a Transport Canada registered airport. The Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory near Deseronto has a large airport accommodating smaller sized aircraft.
